We wanted to give you information regarding the tariff changes now imposed on Australian exports to the United States.
According to the Australian government, from 29 August 2025, all shipments will be subject to US import duties and other charges.
Temporary suspension of Australia Post services to the US
From 26 August, our shipping carrier Australia Post joined a number of international postal operators to temporarily suspend partial postal services to the United States.
UPDATE: Australia Post plans to resume postal services to the United States on Thursday 25 September 2025. All orders placed until then will be held until shipping resumes.
If you require your order to be dispatched earlier, we can send your parcel with DHL Express. This will incur an extra charge. Please email us if you wish to obtain a shipping quote.
Duties, taxes and charges that may apply
All shipments will attract US import duties and potential customs brokerage fees, processing charges and state taxes. Duties and taxes will be collected on goods prior to entering the US.
A 10% tariff applies to most Australian goods exported to the US.
If goods are manufactured outside Australia or have significant components from other countries, higher tariffs may apply. (The only Fin Pottery Tools products that are manufactured outside Australia are the Large Rolling Pin and Circle Clay Cutters.)
Increased border inspections
All shipments will go through US customs clearance. This may increase the time at the border.
We will continue to ship parcels via express post so that you can get your parcels as quickly as possible!
No price changes on our end
To be clear, our product prices are staying the same 🤎 The only change is the tariff that you will have to cover prior to entry to the US.
We will continue to provide all the information required for international shipments, including HS code, item description, value of items, and invoice.
